Hi, my name is Emelie Modigh and I am a dog handler, animal caretaker, and sheep farmer living in Norway, where my life revolves around herding, sheep, and working dogs. Together with my Border Collies, I lead an active life of training and competition. For me, herding is all about the potential of the herding dog through the interaction between dog, handler, and sheep.

The work of a herding dog is incredibly demanding on both muscles and joints. The dogs work in varied and often tough terrain such as forests, open country, and mountain landscapes, where the body is subjected to great strain and injuries can easily occur. A good dog can do a job that would otherwise require several people, and that's why it's important for me to take care of the dogs' bodies and create sustainability so that they can perform and feel good for a long time.
