Michelle Holmlund
My name is Michelle and I live a life where dogs are always at the center. Together with my Border Collies, I actively train and compete in high-level obedience, and over the years, this journey has taken me all the way to both the national team and international championships.
The dog world has taught me that development never ends. There are always new details to understand, new goals to work towards, and new ways to get better together with the dogs. And perhaps that’s why I still love it just as much – because the journey is never truly finished.
In 2019, I had the incredible experience of something very few get to be part of – winning the World Championship in obedience with my dog. It's a memory and a feeling I will always carry with me. For me, obedience has never just been about results, but about the relationship, the teamwork, and all those hours of training and development that truly build a team.
I also run the kennel WORK-A-LOT, where my focus is on functional Border Collies with a joy for work, drive, and a strong will to cooperate. For me, it's important that the dogs can not only perform in competition but also function in everyday life and sustain an active life over time.
That's also why recovery and sustainability have become such an important part of my daily life – both for the dogs and for myself. In this regard, Modellight has become a natural part of life around training, competition, and travel. I primarily use PadPemf and the Photizo handheld device, and I have been very satisfied with how easy they are to use while truly making a difference in recovery after training and periods of high exertion.
What I appreciate most about Modellight is not just the products, but also the people behind them. It’s clear that there is genuine knowledge and commitment in everything they do. You never feel like "just a customer," but rather someone they truly care about and genuinely want to help.
